AAMC Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (AAMC-CFAS) is comprised of faculty representatives appointed by member medical schools and academic societies and serves as a communications conduit with faculty regarding matters related to the core missions of academic medicine. American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties. The mission of the ABMGG is to serve the public and medical profession by establishing professional certification standards and promoting lifelong learning as well as excellence in medical genetics and genomics. American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) is an interdisciplinary professional membership organization that represents the interests of the entire medical genetics team including clinical geneticists, clinical laboratory geneticists, and genetic counselors. American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) is a global interdisciplinary community of researchers who investigate the fundamental workings of genes and genomic variation and who translate new genetic knowledge to propel biomedical research, improve human health, and understand our common ancestral origins. Inter-Society Coordinating Committee for Practitioner Education in Genomics (ISCC-PEG) aims to improve genomic literacy of healthcare providers and enhance the effective practice of clinical genomic medicine by facilitating interactions among key stakeholders in genomic education.
