Laboratory Fellowship Program Directors SIG

The Laboratory Directors Special Interest Group (LD SIG) is a joint and collaborative working group for Laboratory Training Directors overseeing ABMGG Clinical Biochemical Genetics and Laboratory Genetics and Genomics training programs, as well as trainees within these programs.

Throughout the year and at the annual meeting, we work on emergent projects such as transition to ACGME, and are proactive with more enduring issue and projects, such as development of milestones, training objectives and expectations, identifying sustainable funding resources, teaching curricula, etc.

We also work closely with our colleagues in the Course Director and Clinical Program Director SIGs to maintain an overall consistent approach to medical genetics and genomics education and training.
