Within the Medical School Genetics CD SIG section is the Genetics Education Resource Exchange (GERE). This collaborative effort by the SIG is a means for us to share teaching resources including lecture slides, innovative teaching approaches, and useful websites and links to videos. You’ll also find publications by our members that relate to teaching genetics, as well as case studies that we have developed together in our annual CD SIG workshop.

This Genetics Education Resource Exchange (GERE) is a project of the APHMG Curriculum Directors Special Interest Group (CD SIG). The goal is to provide an easy way to share teaching materials and resources related to medical and human genetics. The posted materials available to members include:

·       multiple choice question bank

·       small group sessions

·       flipped classroom materials

·       summaries of available teaching videos

·       sample clinical genetic test results

·       materials from previous workshops

·       USMLE Step Review materials

·       articles for teaching
