APHMG Institutional Membership Fees and Benefits

 

 

Institutional membership fees are $300 per calendar year (January-December).

 

Institution membership includes representatives such as program directors of medical genetics residency and laboratory training programs, medical school course directors, chiefs of genetic divisions, and directors of genetics graduate programs in the US and Canada.

Individual attendance at the Annual Workshop each year provides:

 

  • Interaction with colleagues in similar positions for sharing of experience, challenges and solutions

  • Access to educational materials and resources not available elsewhere

  • Ability to follow-up and continuously interact with your colleagues through the APHMG listserv’s

Institutional members and their representatives have:

 

  • Access to the APHMG Q-bank

  • SIG Membership

    • Residency Program Directors
      Medical School Course Directors
      Graduate School Course Directors
      Laboratory Training Program Directors

  • Representation to organizations such as the National Caucus of Basic Biomedical Science Chairs, the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, the Council of Academic Societies, and Research America

About the Association

The Association of Professors was incorporated in 1995 to promote human and medical genetics educational programs in North American medical and graduate schools. More than ninety institutions are now official members of the Association.

The Association holds an annual 2-3 day workshop that deals with medical genetics educational issues. The Association is involved in a variety of other academic activities throughout the year.
