Letter from 2010 APHMG President

Dear APHMG Colleagues:

On behalf of the APHMG Council Members, I invite you to join us for the 16th Annual APHMG Workshop and Medical Genetics Residency Program Directors Meeting in Napa Valley, California starting Wednesday, April 14, 2010 through Friday, April 16, 2010. Over the past 15 years, the APHMG Workshop has brought together key individuals to discuss the many issues that are of concern to us as we strive to promote the importance and relevance of human and medical genetics at all levels of academic medicine.

The annual workshop provides a forum for informative and stimulating discussion through which we share experiences and learn from each other in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time for networking and socializing. Your Council has organized a stimulating program, including sessions of special interest to Medical Genetics Residency Program Directors, Laboratory Training Program Directors, Medical School Course Directors and Graduate School Program Directors. Finally, we will have a scientific session on Autism with two of the leading experts in the world on the neurobiology and genetics of autism: Eric Courchesne, PhD (UCSD) and Steve Scherer (Hospital for Sick Children and University of Toronto).

I am looking forward to a stimulating, enjoyable and productive meeting, and I hope to see you in Napa!

Sincerely

Anthony Wynshaw-Boris, Ph.D., M.D.
UCSF School of Medicine
APHMG President
